To the idiot who thumbed down my comment, I was not lying at all. NO printer starts up that fast. That printer sits on my desk in the journalism room, and I was the one that set it up so I know how it works. Also, when you turn it on, it displays the Brother logo on the screen for close to 15 seconds. If you think I’m lying go watch some other videos. Dumbass.
You lie. The …
You lie. The printer actually did NOT come on from a cold start. I use this printer daily at school working on the newspaper, it was just in sleep mode, the display turns off and the lights on the buttons go off. The printer in reality takes almost a minute to start from a cold start.

I v got a 6490 here in my office and i think it very slow if you set on best quality. I suppose it is worth the price for the fact a3 pages can be copied. Ink is expensive and will not last as long as one would expect.
You mean the print …
You mean the print speeds from my video or from the spec sheet? I didn’t edit my video at all.
Yes 2phalanges, …
Yes 2phalanges, it’s wireless. It’s the first wireless printer I’ve ever used and it works beautifully.
is this wireless, …
is this wireless, can it print on velum papers?

Print speeds are …
Print speeds are way off, this machine is snail pace slow and very flimsy with poor quality copies using the adf. Definately not for shared office or it will get wrecked in no time. Black ink will last for 3 0r four hundred copies and colour a lot less.
I’ll have to get …
I’ll have to get back to you on that because I’m out of town. I will say that when I got the printer, it came with a stack of very large photo paper. 11×17 perhaps? Not sure if it was just meant for page by page feeding though.
What paper sizes …
What paper sizes does the tray accept?
The ppm estimate is …
The ppm estimate is the count AFTER the first page. That’s pretty much the standard for most of the printers I’ve had. Slow to start but then consistently faster. I’ve since run some massive print jobs and the 6490CW was pretty impressive.
That took forever, …
That took forever, what happened to the:
“Up to 35ppm mono & 28ppm colour print speed “
I have question …
I have question does the ink last for long?? like over a year for average printing.
