With a hp f4440 printer, is there anyway to only print with a color cartridge?

-I’m out of black ink, and am unable to get any for awhile, and was wondering if it’s possible to set my printer to only print with the color ink?

No. Unfortunately, your printer is "too advanced" to do that.
