color inkjet printer

I recently bought a HP PSC All in one C4240 Inkjet printer..replaced color cartridge, now no blue showing?

Thanks for the reply, yes I aligned, cleaned and all the other options I could find…I have emailed HP tech help too…hopefully will hear something tomorrow!

Sounds like a bad cartridge. Did you align the heads after installation? My HP runs a head alignment after changing the ink packs.

I want to buy a cheap colour inkjet printer. But see my concerns.?

I want to buy a color printer only to print color diagrams. No any black. Because I will print black prints from my office laser mono printer and for the color diagrams I have to buy and keep a color printer at home.

If it’s only for color prints (no black) how do I choose a color printer?

But i concern about the cartridge price. There are two types of cartridge. Black and then tri-color. If I want to print color, does the black cartridge being utilized? If it is not utilized I dont need to buy black cartridge.

Check the Canon ip1300 printer spec. It says black cartridge as optional. Why they say optional. That means tri-color cartridge is enough for color print? Even the black color can be printed using color cartridge?

Pls explain me.

Thanks in advance.

In any multi-ink tank printer, if you are not using your black cartridge or if your black tank is empty, the printer has the ability to mix the other inks to produce black.

Even when you take colour prints you will always be using black in some part of it.

However that said, it is always advisable to use a black cartridge along with the other colours.

Other than your initial expense of the black cartridge, the running expenses will not change whether you have a black or not.

what is the best inkjet coloured printer that can print the most pages using one cartridge?

I ‘m going to open my own internet cafe.
i would like to know if you guys can tell me
what model of inket printer can print the most pages with one cartridge
(please specify the model and number of pages that can be printed by one cartridge)
thank in advance for the help

Seriously cut your costs by investing in a laser printer.

You can buy an HP Color Laser Jet 2550L for about $200-$400.
It takes 4 cartridges each color (yellow magenta Cyan) costs about $100, the black coses about $80. The colour toners print about 4,000 pages and the black prints about 6,000.

Even a high yield ink jet cartridge Will only give you at most about 500 pages for $40. Ink jets are unreliable and prone to errors diminishing print quality when the cartridges are nearing empty, dry, the wrong paper is used, the gearing system breaks down, the printer freezes when a cartridge is low.

If you are doing a high number of pages (which with an e cafe you will be) invest in a nice laser. Charge about upwards of $0.10/page and the unit will pay for itself.

I want to know the price of the full image printed paper price in the inkjet colour printer? ,?

I need how much Rupees it take to print a single colour printout in a inkjet printer ,with full image, semi image and How to calculate the price of the printed image in a paper ,Is there in method to calculate to fix a price of the colour printout.

No such menthod per say.

Ink use quoted by manu is 5% coverage per colour and so if it does 1500 pages at 5% per colour it’ll do about 500 @ 15%

So that gives an idea on ink costs, assuming you know how much you pay for ink

Add in costs per sheet of paper (divide cost per pack by No of sheets)

How much in any image uses depends on the image.

A picture of penguins in a snowstorm will use less than one of bats at night

Pros & Cons of Buying a Dell Inkjet or Laser Printer for Your Home or Office

If you’re looking to purchase an inkjet or a laser printer, Dell might be one of the manufacturers on your short list option. Below you’ll find an overview of some of the pros and cons to choosing a Dell.

Pros of Buying a Dell Printer

There are a number of advantages to purchasing a Dell inkjet or laser printer.

• Price. Generally, Dell printers are among the most affordable on the market, especially if you purchase them as part of a bundle with your computer and other accessories.
• Variety. Dell printers come in a wide variety of models. There are inkjet models that are also available as all-in-one units if that is something you are interested in. The company also makes color and monochrome laser printers. The advantage here is that you have more options to choose from than you might with some manufacturers.

Cons of Buying a Dell Printer

Although there are some reasons to consider choosing a Dell, there are also reasons to search elsewhere for a quality printer. Here are some of those reasons.

Customer service complaints. In 2006, Dell’s customer service came under fire when it became clear that the number of complaints from customers had increased dramatically. Almost half of their calls required a call back that often never came.

Business practice complaints. In 2008, Dell was found guilty of misleading advertising and other problems related to their products. More than 1,000 Dell owners signed on as part of the case after having their own problems with the company, including warranty problems and other issues.

Higher price supplies. Dell printers are notorious for having smaller ink cartridges and toners than other models (except Lexmark, see below). That means you will end up spending more on ink in the long run, even though the cartridges themselves are fairly priced. Also, new Dell ink and toner can usually only be purchased directly from the company.

Not made by Dell. Dell printers are not made by Dell. Instead, the company uses Lexmark printers and sells them under the Dell brand. If you do not like Lexmark printers, which do tend to receive a fair share of complaints themselves, this could be an issue.

Getting a Dell?

Before you decide whether or not to purchase a Dell, you should continue reading reviews of the printers you are most interested in. Do some comparison shopping before choosing the right brand for your needs.

can you refill trial size ink cartridges for a dell 720 color printer with a refill kit?

i have a dell 720 color inkjet printer that came iwth trial size ink cartridges the refill kits save so much money so im wondering if i can refill these cartridges thank you

You should be able to refill them, although their capacity is so small it’s hardly worth your time. I would buy new cartridges this time, and then refill the full-size ones once you empty them.

Remember that you can only refill the cartridges 2-3 times before the print head and contacts wear out. Refilling more than that can damage your printer.

A3 Colour Inkjet Printer?

We need an A3 Inkjet colour printer for work and i dont know which one will be best.
It has to be A3 and preferably not that expensive but we want a decent one.
Any ideas?
Hewlett Packard is always good bu tthe only A3 ones i can find from them are like £300.

For what purpose it will be used? My family member bought HP DeskJet 1280 two years ago for the firm and it’s used for printing of architecture drawings. It works ok and was paid only about 300EUR as I recall.

What is the most cost effective color printer (re: cost of cartridges) for a small business?

A while ago I purchased an inkjet printer for $99.00. I thought it was cheap but it goes through cartridges (which cost $25 or more each) like crazy, so I think it really wasn’t a very good deal. My brother mentioned something to me about purchasing a business printer which would be more cost effective regarding ink. I’d like to purchase another printer which would be more cost effective regarding the ink. I’d like it to be an all-in-one (fax, copier, scanner). I’d like to be able to print in color. Any help on this topic is appreciated.

I think Color laser is the way to go for business. You don’t want to buy a pair of ink cartridges that could probably cost you more than the printer.

I am looking at Dell 3110cn printer myself. It’s not a big printer brand name like HP and Canon but it’s actually made by Fuji Xerox. I think it’s the best printer so far I have seen. The paper pass is very simple, just one straight line (the less turn the better for laser printers). Consumables in this printer is just the toner cartridges. You will have some add-on options like duplex unit or wireless nic. The price is $424 on their website and the cost per page is like 1 cent per page.

This is the color laser I have been waiting for, Low price with good design. The only problem I have with this machine is it’s really too big for personal use. I am just a regular home user. I don’t have the kind of space for a big printer like that. Otherwise, I would buy it in a heart beat.
